BC Science 9 Text Images Now Posted!

Images from the BC Science 9 Text have been added to the website resources. To make it easy to find the image that you want, you will find packages of images from each chapter posted as the first link for each of the chapters. Simply download the package, and enjoy!

Each of the image files has the text page number in the file name, so it should be easy to find and identify the image you need. All images are copyright McGraw-Hill Ryerson, but we would like teacher and student users of the BC Science 9 text to feel free to use the images for classroom instruction and assignment purposes.

B.C. Govt Comments on New Resources

The B.C. Ministry of Education has published descriptions of the new learning resources available for Science 9. You can download the document directly by clicking here, textbooks for Science 9 are addressed on page 2 of the document. In the document, BC Science 9 receives a strong recommendation:

"This 509-page comprehensive text resource offers a high degree of correlation with the new curriculum. The content is current, accurate, and highly relevant for the students of British Columbia. The visual layout of the text is appealing and appropriate for a diverse range of learners. The text book provides many extension topics and student questions."

New Exciting Resources at the BC Science 9 Website!

The BC Science 9 web development team is proud to bring you many new features for the BC Science 9 support website. In the legend to the left, you'll see just some of the exciting new features.

The web team is happy to announce that web support is in place for all units. We hope you enjoy all of our new features, including embedded video, animations, new puzzles, probeware labs and interactive quizzes (which shuffle responses every time you take the quiz, so it's never the same twice).

We've also carefully searched the resources at Quirks and Quarks to bring you perfect correlation to the BC Science 9 content and curriculum, right down to the page number - so you don't have to do any searching for excellent, relevant podcasts.

And the best part about the BC Science 9 wesite is that it is constantly maintained, and it will continue to be maintained, with new resources constantly added, for the life of the BC Science 9 resource.
